What size dumpster is best for a home remodel?
A 15 or 20 yard covers most bathroom remodels, flooring jobs and single-room renovations. For a larger renovation or a whole-home project, a 30 yard is usually the better fit -- tell us the scope and we will land on the right size.
Do I need a permit to put a dumpster in my driveway?
Keeping the container entirely on your own driveway or property generally does not require a permit. Placing it in the street or public right-of-way is a different situation and a question for the Town of Gilbert's Development Services/Permitting division -- call us if you are not sure which applies to your job.
We're renovating an older home near the Heritage District -- does that change the size we need?
Often, yes. Older building stock tends to produce heavier debris per room than a newer build -- plaster, older-growth lumber and denser materials add up faster than drywall and modern framing. Tell us the age and scope of the home and we will size around the denser load.
What can't go in a residential dumpster?
Hazardous items -- chemicals, fuels, batteries and refrigerants among them -- are the standard exclusions; Gilbert's own Household Hazardous Waste Facility on Queen Creek Road is the right stop for those. Ask us about your specific job and we will guide you on the right disposal option for anything that does not belong in the box.
