Section 1
Booking & delivery
How do I book a dumpster in Gilbert?
Call (480) 400-6148. There are no forms on this site by design — a two-minute conversation settles the size, the placement and the timing far better than a web form and a callback. Tell us the size you want, we'll deliver it the same or next day depending on availability, you fill it at your own pace, and we come pick it up and dispose of everything the right way when you're done.
What areas do you serve?
Gilbert plus Chandler, Queen Creek, Tempe, Higley, Sun Lakes and San Tan Valley — every corner of the East Valley touching Maricopa County is part of the regular route. If your address sits just outside that list, call anyway.
How quickly can you deliver?
Same-day or next-day delivery is available in many areas around Gilbert when you call early in the day, depending on what's already on the schedule. Jobsite swap-outs take priority because a full container can't wait.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
We keep rental periods flexible enough to cover most jobs comfortably. Need it longer than planned? Call and we'll extend it — no penalty for asking.
Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?
No, not as long as we know exactly where you want the container placed. Most customers just tell us over the phone or leave a note, and we place it exactly where you asked without needing you on site for either the drop or the pickup.
Can I get the container swapped mid-job?
Yes. A swap drops an empty container and takes the full one in the same visit. On a live jobsite, tell us your expected fill rate at the start and we'll schedule swaps in advance rather than waiting for the call.
Section 2
Sizes & capacity
What sizes do you carry?
Five: 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 yard roll-offs. The 10 yard suits small cleanouts and tight driveways, the 15 yard handles bathroom remodels and light renovations, the 20 yard covers most medium remodels and roofing jobs, and the 30 and 40 yard cover whole-home cleanouts, major construction and large-scale cleanups. Full dimensions and comparisons live on our dumpster sizes page.
Which size is right for a small cleanout?
A 10 yard usually does it — a garage clear-out, some yard debris, a modest amount of clutter on a tight driveway. Describe the pile when you call and we'll size it exactly rather than guess.
Which size handles a remodel?
A 15 or 20 yard is the go-to for most bathroom and kitchen remodels, flooring jobs and mid-size renovation debris. If the job is a larger, whole-home renovation, a 30 yard is usually the better fit — mention the scope and we'll point you the right way.
Can heavy materials like concrete or dirt go in any size?
No — heavy debris like concrete, dirt, brick and tile should only go in a 10 or 15 yard container. Those sizes are built for the weight; a bigger box fills to its weight limit on heavy material long before it looks full.
Which size fits a roofing job?
A 20 yard fits most roofing tear-offs, depending on the size of the roof and how many layers are coming off. Tell us the square footage and we'll size it exactly when you call.
Section 3
Pricing & process
What does a dumpster rental cost in Gilbert?
We run straightforward, flat-rate pricing based on container size, the type of debris, your location and how long you keep the container — we don't publish a generic price list because every job is genuinely different. What we do promise is a clear, flat number once we quote you: call and we'll give you a straight answer for your job, free.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We quote a flat rate up front with no surprise charges tacked on afterward. If a job looks likely to change the number — heavier debris than expected, a longer rental — we tell you before it happens, not after.
Do you charge extra for a longer rental?
We'd far rather extend a rental than have you rush a job or overfill the container. Call if you need more time and we'll tell you what it involves before you commit.
How do I pay?
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment is arranged when your booking is confirmed — no cash handling required on delivery day.
Section 4
What can and can't go in
What can go in the dumpster?
Most renovation and cleanout material: wood, drywall, tile and flooring; furniture; general household junk; yard waste like branches and clippings; roofing shingles; and most household appliances. If you're unsure about a specific item, ask when you call.
What can't go in the dumpster?
Hazardous chemicals, fuels, batteries and refrigerant-containing appliances — plus paint, solvents, oils, tires, propane tanks and gas cylinders, and medical or biohazard waste — none of it goes in a standard roll-off. The Town of Gilbert runs a Household Hazardous Waste Facility on Queen Creek Road for exactly this kind of material, and we'll point you toward it rather than let it go in with everything else. One prohibited item can get a whole load rejected, so flag anything you're unsure about before it goes in.
Can I fill the dumpster above the rim?
No — debris has to stay level with or below the top rim. An overfilled dumpster cannot legally be hauled on the road, and we'll need material removed or a second trip before we can pick it up, which just slows your job down.
What about yard waste specifically?
Arizona doesn't have a statewide ban on putting yard waste in a landfill the way some states do, but we still keep yard waste — desert-landscaping trimmings, palm fronds, brush and clippings — as its own clean load rather than mixed into a general container whenever a job allows it. Just tell us when you book and we'll route it correctly.
Where can I take paint, electronics or a mattress that a dumpster can't take?
Arizona doesn't run a statewide paint take-back program the way some states do, so leftover paint generally goes to Gilbert's Household Hazardous Waste Facility on Queen Creek Road along with electronics, batteries and similar items — that facility takes Town residents only and asks for ID plus a current utility bill. A mattress in decent shape, on the other hand, is one of the few large items the Town's own curbside bulk-trash pickup will still take, since Arizona doesn't regulate mattress disposal the way some states do.
Section 5
Permits & property
Do I need a permit to have a dumpster delivered?
In most cases, no, if the container sits entirely on your own private property — a driveway, yard or lot. That covers the large majority of jobs we deliver. Not sure about your address? Ask us and we'll tell you plainly.
What if the container needs to sit on the street or sidewalk?
That's the situation where a permit becomes relevant. We haven't found a published, dumpster-specific permit page for the Town of Gilbert, so we won't state a specific fee or step-by-step process as settled fact here — the honest answer is to confirm directly with the Town's Development Services / Permitting division before delivery day. Tell us your street situation when you book and we'll help you sort it out.
Will the dumpster damage my driveway?
It shouldn't, and we take real steps to prevent it. Our driver walks the spot with you before anything moves. If a surface is already cracked or heaving, we'll say so and suggest a better spot rather than press on and hope.
I'm digging for a fence, footings or landscaping — does that affect my dumpster delivery?
Not the delivery itself, but it's worth doing right either way: call Arizona 811 at least two working days before any digging, regardless of whether you're also renting a container from us. It's a free call, and it keeps a shovel or auger away from a buried line.
Where does the debris actually go?
Household, construction and yard-waste loads out of Gilbert generally route toward disposal and recycling facilities serving Maricopa County, while clean concrete, metal and other recoverable material get sent toward recovery wherever the job allows, rather than routing everything to one place. See our yard waste vs. construction debris guide.
The permit rule, straight up
Property vs. public right-of-way
The one rule that covers every community we serve across the East Valley.
On your own property
A dumpster that sits entirely on your own driveway, yard or lot is the setup for the large majority of jobs we deliver across Gilbert and Maricopa County — that kind of placement generally falls outside the public right-of-way rules that a street or curb placement would trigger. Every lot and every street is a little different, so if you are not sure where your property line falls, ask us when you book and we will tell you plainly before the truck ever leaves the yard.
On the street or right-of-way
Placement in a public street, on a sidewalk or anywhere else in the right-of-way is the situation where a permit becomes relevant. The Town of Gilbert's own Development Services / Permitting division is the place to confirm the current process and any fee for your specific street — we haven't found a published, dumpster-specific permit page for the Town, and we're not going to pretend to know exactly how the rule applies to your particular block sight unseen. The honest answer is to confirm directly with the Town before delivery day. Tell us your street situation when you book and we'll help you sort out what's needed, not the morning of.
Section 6
Weather & seasonal planning
Does monsoon season affect dumpster delivery?
Gilbert's own monsoon season runs June 15 through September 15, and it can bring flash flooding in washes and low-lying streets along with the occasional haboob — a wall of blowing dust. We keep an eye on the forecast and stage extra containers when storm cleanup demand spikes, and we're always glad to talk through timing if a storm is in the picture. See our monsoon season flash-flood guide and our dust storm cleanup guide.
Is summer a bad time to schedule a renovation or cleanout?
Plenty of Gilbert homeowners plan the bigger jobs — a full remodel, a whole-home cleanout, major yard work — for spring or fall specifically to avoid working outside through peak summer heat. We deliver year-round either way, but if you have flexibility on timing, spring and fall are genuinely the more comfortable seasons to have a crew and a container in the driveway.
Do you deliver during a haboob or active storm warning?
Safety comes first for our drivers and for you. If conditions make a delivery unsafe — near-zero visibility in a dust storm, active flash flooding on the route — we'll call to reschedule rather than push a delivery through it, and we'll work to get you rebooked as soon as conditions clear.
